Rannerdale Knotts 6th May pt2

Continuing my adventure after i had photographed the Bluebells, i decided to climb up Rannerdale Knotts, at 1165 ft its quite an easy climb :))
so up the valley i walked , the rain and hail had stopped by now but mist and low cloud still swirled all around the peaks!

Looking back towards the bluebell fells on the right hand side where i have just walked from.

Climbing higher now and can see the low cloud hanging over the top of the knott on the left in this picture, i am heading up into the cloud!!!!

Heading up the ridge looking left over to Buttermere to the left with Crummock water in front of me :)

thick cloud hanging around Whiteless pike!

I eventually make my way up to the top and had superb views looking down Buttermere valley towards Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks!    the cloud was changing every few minutes so here are a few shots from same location by the summit cairn !

This is my favorite image with the whispy cloud :D

And a close up at Buttermere and Fleetwith pike , amazing light!!!!

And looking across Crummock water

Making my way down the steep slope towards Crummock, i took this unusual image with Mellbreak reflected in the water in the top of the frame:))

A wide shot of Mellbreak over Crummock water!

And looking towards Darling & Low Fell

The end of a great climb with amazing views, cant wait to go back in the autumn to shoot all the colours from high up :)))

Next part of the day will continue with Buttermere and Dale Head before heading back to the Bluebells in early evening sun :)))

                                                  all images shot canon 5d2 & 17-40L
