Lake District - Grizedale Pike Hartsop April 8 th

Today I am going to take a trip up to the lake district,    the norther lakes area to climb up Grizedale Pike.    Having parked in the Braithwaite car park I have taken the right hand path , unlike the last time on a Twiterrati walk when we took the wrong one HERE

The views open out quite quickly as the path leaves the edge of the woods and past Hospital Plantation on the right.   The weather forecast was supposed to be very light winds but it is fairly windy even at this low height, a quick drone flight to show the Plantation with Skiddaw inn the background.

Here is a view up the Coledale Beck on the left with Grizedale Pike on the right.

I have eventually climbed up to Sleet How , its almost too windy to fly now but I have risked a quick flight as the views are superb, even with the haze over the fells.

                                                                     Grizedale Pike.

                                                 A 9 frame panorama manually shot .

The layers of haze across the fells look really good,  the camera doesn't really do it justice.

Another multi frame panorama ,  12 frames manually shot again.

Its too windy to carry on flying up here, so I have decided not to go on any higher , instead I will try to find somewhere else to get some images.

I eventually end up at Brothers Water , the wind is fairly light and the conditions are perfect.  here is a shot taken just over the water at only 30 ft height

A 5 frame Vertorama looking towards Hartsop

Now I have driven up the Kirkstone pass  , a couple of Vertoramas looking down towards Brothers Water.

The end of another good day in the Lakes ……….
