Drone Meet at Crogen Estate and Morfa Nefyn Mar 24/25

In Late March was a planned Drone meet up in Bala with the facebook group Drone flyers GB & Beyond    We had special permission to fly at a Private estate Crogen Estate .  So as we had a long weekend the van was loaded and off we went.  The meeting location is Steves brynmelynfarmcottages  , If anyone wants a great place to stay in North/Mid Wales this is a fabulous location.  about 30 people turned up for this meet, the wind unfortunately was a bit strong as when we all went up to the first location high up in the hills it was blowing a gale, and I think only 6 or 7 of us flew.

The wind was funnelling through this valley and the drone was hardly moving at full speed !
                                                               6 frame Vertorama.

We then moved on to Crogen Hall estate,  what a fabulous place, and the wind was fairly good down here so everyone had a great time.  here are just a few of my images .

                                                                    9 frame panorama.

                                                                5 frame Vertoramas.

The lawn is still flooded after all the recent rain.

                                                                                Topdown

While the drone meet continues at Bala sailing club and then Lake Vyrnwy we are leaving Bala and heading down to the Llyn Peninsula where we are meeting up with friends who run the Twnti pub
After a nice easy drive down past Pwllheli to the small village of Rhyd-y-claddy and the pub car park where we will stay overnight.

Monday morning and we have blue sky, a beautiful warm sunny day is forecast, after a cloudy period mid morning.

Mike and Cat are free today so they suggested going down to the local beach to run the dogs and a quick fly before heading over to Morfa Nefyn for a good walk and fly around the coastline.

Flying out from the beach to look back at the headland.

Meanwhile on the beach ………….      collies and a Spanner concentrate on the ball !

Now we have driven across the peninsula to Morfa , the headland has a lifeboat station and looks great for a good photo shoot.  parking in the NT car park and walking through the golf club to the end of the small headland.
Flying straight out taking a 9 frame panorama .
You can see the brown stain from rain water leaching from the peninsula.

                                                        Topdown over the rocky headland.

Topdown over a small rock ,  I used a nd16 to slow the shutter speed down a bit to show more water movement.  I changed the water colour in photoshop to make it more vibrant.

Time to walk back now along the shore now that the tide is out, its been a great day, must come back here very soon.
